The Nursery

The Native Plant Nursery at Willow Creek Conservancy supports our mission to restore healthy ecosystems and strengthen community connections to the land. We grow regionally adapted native plants from locally collected seeds and cuttings to ensure strong genetic ties to the Central Coast and long-term success in local restoration efforts. The native plant nursery currently consists of one shade house and one green house, with plans to build two additional shade houses to support additional plants.

What We Grow

Our nursery produces a wide variety of grasses, forbs, shrubs and trees for restoration, habitat, and landscaping projects, including:

  • Milkweed species (Asclepias spp.)

  • Oak species (Quercus spp.)

  • Coffeeberry (Frangula californica)

  • Yarrow (Achillea millefolium)

  • Willow species (Salix spp.)

  • Sage species (Salvia spp.)

  • Elderberry (Sambucus spp.)

Plus other locally sourced native species that support pollinators and wildlife. Plants are available on a seasonal basis. Learn more below.
