Some of the restoration projects the Willow Creek Conservancy and its partners are implementing to help rebuild rich, biodiverse soils include:
- Revegetation Plan: Establish a revegetation plan with chaparral, freshwater marsh, oak savanna, and riparian woodland habitats
- Riparian Remediation: Restore and enhance riparian corridors to increase wildlife habitat and water quality
- Pollinator Habitat Enhancement: Increase pollinator habitat and biodiversity, including habitat enhancement for monarchs and bees
- Wetland Creation: Establish a natural wetland for migratory birds, wildlife, and water infiltration
- Cultural Burns: Incorporate “good fire” practices in partnership with tribal partners and CalFire to reduce wildfire risk and improve soil and forest health
- Ecological Sanctuary: A portion of WCC will be left intact and lightly managed, where one could reflect and enjoy nature
